About PRESERVE AND STORE Collection

Strawberry Jam

Strawberry Jam

This jam was made with:
Preserve and Store 500mL Airtight Square Jars

Ingredients
3kg strawberries, hulled and halved
3kg white sugar
Juice from 1/2 a lemon

Method
Wash and sterilise jars and lids following the instructions above. Place the strawberries in a saucepan and stir through the sugar. Leave for 1-2 hours while sugar softens the fruit. Add the lemon juice then cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until fruit is soft.
Remove 1/3 of fruit and set aside.
Cook the remaining mixture until the strawberries are mostly dissolved and the jam coats the back of a spoon.
Mix in the reserve fruit and fill the jars with the jam.
Allow to cool, then seal with the lids.

Recipe Makes: 4 x 500g jars
